  1. World Kidney Day, a global campaign, is annually observed across the globe on the second Thursday of March to encourage people about the importance of kidneys in maintaining overall health and to raise awareness of several kidney diseases. World Kidney Day 2023 is observed on 9 March. The theme of World Kidney Day 2023 is “Kidney Health for All-Preparing for the unexpected, supporting the vulnerable”.
  2. The Indian Navy received a fully indigenised fuze YDB-60 for its anti-submarine warfare (ASW) underwater rocket RGB 60 on 4 March, 2023.
  3. The Jan Aushadhi Diwas (Generic Medicine Day) is annually observed across India on 7 March to create awareness about the importance of generic medicines and to highlight the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP).
